To get your Wii U (On 5.4.0) hacked is starting to look like a difficult affair. People that are hosting the exploits on webservers do not seem to have any luck with getting the exploit working, while others do when locally hosting (XAMPP, etc). This thread serves as a quick-start to getting up and going with your Wii U.

What you will need:
1. A Wii U (5.4.0)
2. HFS (HTTP File Server): http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/
3. MP4 Video files of each of the different applications: http://05sonicblue.com/wiiuhax (Right-click, Save Link As...)

To get started, let's make a folder on the desktop for quick access. Call it "Wii U Haxx" or whatever you like to, and download HFS into there. It should just be a standalone .exe. Within the folder, download all the MP4s that you want to use. Now, open HFS. On the left side of HFS is a section called "Virtual File System". Drag ALL your MP4 video files into it.

Now, on your Wii U, open the internet browser and browse to the URL in the top of HFS:

(In this image, it would be http://192.168.0.55:8080/<name of MP4>.mp4, yours will change depending on your network or if you change the port)

PLEASE NOTE:
You will not be able to host yellows8's exploit generator files because they require PHP - HFS is NOT compatible with PHP.

Tips for success:

1. Prefix the URL with http:// or it won't interpret your IP address as a proper URL and will just do a search with that text instead.
2. If you're booting the exploit, do not load the Internet Browser from the Quick Start menu, especially if you've recently hard-shut down the Wii U (Due to a crash). Boot fully into the Wii U Menu and launch the internet browser from there. You will have a much better chance of booting any exploit files rather than a crash again.
3. If you're able to, use a wired network, that way you can keep HFS running and just bookmark the address in your browser's bookmarks. If you want to save it as a bookmark, add the URL in the bookmarks, then exit and shut off the console normally. Then, start it back up and go back to the browser. That way, you won't lose the modified bookmark when your Wii U crashes.
4. Keep URLs short as possible. There are reported issues with URLs over ~40 characters.

As for 5.5.0, this will probably also work for it, I will edit the title when 5.5.0 kexploit releases and is tested with both local hosts and non-local and add any 5.5.0-additional details.

In addition, I'd like to see if someone could perhaps maintain a pack of MP4s with the latest of each application (Loadiine, kexploit, gcpad, nnus, etc). If you can maintain a package like this and can host it on your own site, PM me and I'll add a link here. I'll also add a Q&A section for frequently asked questions and answers. Any questions for each of the applications should be directed to their own threads.
