20 - An addicting, somewhat mathematical game. Play for a few hours and your head will be full of colors and numbers. Give it a shot.
Adfree Android - If you haven't found a reason to root yet, consider this it. Globally removes all ads from all apps by redirecting the DNS.
Adblock Browser - This is a browser based on the Firefox for Android source, which blocks ads by default. Doesn't always work, but for an app not needing root, very helpful.
Adobe Flash Player - No longer available in the app store, but if you can grab an apk it'll work, even on Jelly Bean

Aldiko - My personal favorite Android eReader app.
Amazon Underground - Free alternate app store from Amazon. Worth grabbing because of their Free App of the Day. Also has full functionality of the Amazon Shopping app.
Barcode Scanner
Bible - YouVersion's Bible is the most powerful app out there. Highlighting, notes, dozens of translations, reading plans, devotionals, public commentary on verses, and far more.
Crush the Castle - The same flash game that kept me hooked for days is also on Android with more features.
Devil's Attorney - Addicting strategy game with great humor. An absolute must-play in my book.
Disney Tsum Tsum - I can't stop playing this game. Save yourself.

Kongregate Arcade - This is a fun app, which has badges that will level up your Kongregate account just like on the main site. Be aware though that a lot of games will be frustrating if not on a tablet.

Slickdeals - The best deals the internet has to offer, right at your fingertips.
Sonic 2 - My favorite Sonic game, now available everywhere.
SoundHound - Quickly identifies the song you're hearing right now
Swype - Simply the best keyboard for me
Textra SMS - Beautifully powerful SMS app, using Material Design.
Titanium Backup - Like flashing new ROMs on your phone but hate losing progress in your games? Titanium is for you.
Wiimote Controller - Great when playing emulators. Warning: Does not work on HTC Sense ROMs. Flash to something like Cyanogenmod if you want this app.
WordHero - Truly addicting word game.
