Following up on a previous report from June, Windows Central's Jez Corden has again mentioned the tech issue on a recent episode of The Xbox Two podcast. Corden says that "Microsoft is actively working on it with Capcom" and that the Japanese developer skipping Xbox over a tech issue "is not a great look" for Microsoft.
However, in a small slice of Xbox rumour-mill drama, XboxEra has chimed in as well. The outlet's Shpeshal Nick claims that he's also asked a Microsoft source about this, and that their response leads him to believe that the real reason behind the Capcom omissions is that "these games don't sell" on Xbox.
As usual with this sort of thing, it's best to take it all with a big old pinch of salt, with a lot of this sounding like speculation as much as anything else. All we really know for sure is that something is preventing certain Capcom games from hitting Xbox - with the company seemingly picking and choosing what launches on Xbox and what doesn't.
