The Worms creator, Andy Davidson, has been sharing updates about a free 1.5 Director's Cut of the game that he is working on for the Amiga. One of the new levels he has showcased is based on the classic British sci-fi comedy series Red Dwarf.
The Red Dwarf-themed Worms level features impressive attention to detail, with the various worms battling across the different decks of the iconic Red Dwarf ship. In the background, you can see the green shuttle Starbug hovering above an alien planet. The dual-layer design of the level also allows for intricate interior sections, including a depiction of the ship's computer Holly on a screen.
According to Davidson, the Worms DC 1.5 with this Red Dwarf level should be available for players to experience early next year. For fans of both Worms and Red Dwarf, this looks to be an exciting crossover that captures the spirit of both franchises.
