In celebration of the release, an eye-catching new trailer has been unveiled. This trailer explores the lore of Into the Emberlands, featuring a captivating opening sequence. It unfolds like a children's book, using pop-up figures to illustrate the backstory of the Emberlands, while setting the stage for the adventures ahead.
Future Updates during the Early Access period will not only include polishing, but also add additional unlockable player characters and pets, additional biomes, encounters, trinkets and tools, steadily growing Into the Emberlands into a huge world full of wonder!
Lead artist Jonas Pfeiffer comments on the release: "After two years, we are excited to present our own little weird world to the wide, weird world out there! Into the Emberlands invites players to step into the shoes of the Lightbearer, embarking on a mesmerizing journey through the Emberlands. Equipped with a trusty lantern, players must navigate procedurally generated biomes, rescue the lost Knacks, the inhabitants of this world, and lead them back to the safety of their village. Use your resources and the new inhabitants to rebuild the village and expand it from a few shacks to a safe haven! But be aware: If your lantern's light fades while you're out exploring, you will become a lost one yourself, and the next Lightbearer will need to step into your shoes…
Meet quirky inhabitants while discovering beautiful procedurally generated biomes. The Emberlands will surprise you with countless cute, weird, and sometimes dubious encounters. Meet crazy scientists, strange Miasma-hands which will tempt you to make a deal with the devil and… giant chickens?! They all offer their own quests, promising unique rewards, from resources and tools to unique upgrades to your equipment. But choose wisely, some deals can put you in a pity in the blink of an eye.
