The game "Super Spacefortress Macross" will be released on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 on December 26, 2024. The game is a vertical scrolling shooter based on the 1984 anime film "Macross: Do You Remember Love?". Players will take control of the variable fighter Valkyrie, piloted by characters Hikaru Ichijyo and Max Jenius, to battle the invading Zentradi race.
The game was originally released in arcades in 1992, developed by NMK and published by Banpresto in Japan and Fabtek in North America. This will be the first time the game has been made available on modern consoles, as part of Hamster's Arcade Archives series.
