News Stardew Valley Creator Reconfirms Version 1.6 Console Release Date

The Stardew Valley Version 1.6 console release is set for November 4, 2024. This major update will bring the game to Version 1.6.9 across all platforms, including PC, Switch, Xbox, PlayStation, iOS and Android.

According to the game's creator, ConcernedApe, "everything is still on track" for the November 4th release date. The update will introduce a new Meadowlands farm type, as well as a variety of other gameplay tweaks and quality of life improvements.

While players will be able to continue their existing saves, ConcernedApe noted that "some of the new content would probably be better experienced in the context of a new playthrough." The 1.6.9 version also includes additional updates like new work portraits for characters Sam and Shane.
