At a recent Sonic fan meetup in Indonesia, the game's producer Shun Nakamura fielded questions about possible remakes or remasters. Fans asked about older titles like Sonic '06, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, and even a potential third Sonic Adventure game.
According to Tails' Channel, Nakamura touched on how both old and new games still hold appeal. He's previously expressed interest in seeing Sonic '06 get a remake.
Creative director and character supervisor Kazuyuki Hoshino reportedly mentioned that Sonic Team would keep drawing inspiration from past Sonic games. This fits with Sega's plan to use Sonic's history to shape his future.
A few months back, Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka said they're open to fan suggestions for Sonic comebacks. More recently, he showed interest in remastering the Sonic Advance series.
