Gaming at the Golden Gate: Reverse: 1999 Unveils Discovery Channel Link Up as Version 2.0 Heads to San Francisco
"Floor it! To the Golden City" Launches Today
Hong Kong, 31st October 2024: BluePoch is excited to announce a link-up with the Discovery Channel that will see in-game outfits, buildings, and more from the media giant head exclusively to the popular 20th Century Time-Travel Strategic RPG Reverse: 1999.
The collaboration—which kicks off on November 14th and will also see the game pushed across Discovery's line-up of TV channels in multiple regions around the globe—comes as the first phase of Version 2.0, which contains the event story "Floor it! To the Golden City," officially launches today.

In this adventure she'll meet Mercuria, the mysterious dancer living free and swaying in tune with the stars, who has a unique lifestyle that fosters a deep internal spiritual connection, allowing her to connect to the flowing energy of the universe. She never stops too long, never gets too attached; she simply lets the universe guide her to her next destination.
Mercuria is a new 6-star [Spirit] character now summonable in the new banner "Calming Hues in Frenzied Nights." New garments of Spathodea, 6, and Kanjira will also be available. New events like the Anecodes of Sotheby and La Source will also be coming soon.
"It's an exciting time to be a Reverse: 1999 fan," offers Guest Cat, the Art Director. "Just as Version 2.0 kicks into gear, players will be able to access garments in-game for popular characters Tooth Fairy and Getian. The collab will also bring two wilderness buildings and a portrait into the game. The details will be revealed later via our official social media channels."
The Discovery collaboration will run from November 14th to December 12th, 2024.
The first phase of Version 2.0 of Reverse: 1999 includes:
- New Character Mercuria: Players can now summon Mercuria, a [Spirit] support arcanist in the banner "Calming Hues in Frenzied Nights."
- New Events: Get Halloween gift mail containing Clear Drops and Growth materials during 2024-10-31 - 2024-11-03 04:59 (UTC-5).
- Sign-in to get up to 7 pulls during Phase 1 in activity "Bayside Beats I" during 2024-10-31 - 2024-11-21 04:59 (UTC-5)
- Receive Gift of the Stars, which includes Clear Drop x600, Jar of Picrasma Candy x5 (time-limited) through Mail during 2024-10-31 - 2024-12-05 04:59 (UTC-5).
- Clear Mercuria's Character Story "On the Thousandth Night" to get growth materials and Clear Drops.
- The New Anecdote of Sotheby and La Source will be available during this version.
- The Anecdote of Sotheby will be available during 2024-11-04 05:00 - 2024-12-02 04:59 (UTC-5), and the Anecdote of La Source will be available during 2024-11-18 05:00 - 2024-12-02 04:59 (UTC-5).
- New Garments & Wilderness Pack: New garment series "16-Bit Revelry" can be purchased from the Bank-Garment Shop during the event.
- Get the new garment of Kanjira by unlocking the Collector's edition of the JUKEBOX and level it up to Lv.30.
Phase 2 will include:
- Get the new 6-star character J in the new banner and explore his story in the new event.
