If you're a Red Dead Redemption fan dying to scratch that Wild West itch, then this free Steam download might pique your interest.

Rockstar Games' Red Dead series began long before the arrival of Red Dead Redemption in 2010. Prior to John Marston wooing us with his charismatic charm, it was 2004's Red Dead Revolver for PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox that would lay the foundation for what was to come.

Check out the Chamber trailer below!

Sure, Red Dead Revolver was a much more linear game than the likes of Red Dead Redemption, but with the combination of its arcade-style gameplay approach and the brooding protagonist Red Harlow giving major Clint Eastwood vibes, it was most certainly a winning formula for Rockstar Games.

So when a fun-looking game comes along that looks to be the result of Red Dead Revolver and DOOM having a one-night stand that we can play for free, we're damn sure going to check it out. The game in question is the indie title Chambers, developed by Mr. Pink and published by HypeTrain Digital, and its demo is available to download now.

"Get chambered in the Wild West: improvise to survive, feed and take care of your horses in an open world with warring factions. Skills and upgrades: catch bullets, eat hats, summon bears," reads the description of the game.

"Engage with vibrant and bustling cities, where you can barter, upgrade your equipment, and acquire new skills," the description continues. "Kick cowboys, snatch bullets from the air with your bare hands, and traverse the rugged terrain on horseback in this thrilling adventure game!"

Chambers has been well-received by the Steam community garnering a "Very Positive" rating with comments such as "Is this the GOTY? Not at all. Could Chambers become a gem cult? Totally," and "Great FPS game. At first, it's a bit confusing but once you get the hang of it, you're in for a ride."

At this time, Chambers does not have a release date for its full launch but hopefully, it will arrive on PC via Steam at some point this year.
