Today's second (now-annual) Panic Games Showcase shows off recent and upcoming titles being published by Panic. (In case there's any confusion, the date in the title is for Australia and the date in the header image is North America.) All the games overlap with last year's presentation, which you can catch up on here. It's worth watching Panic Games Showcase 2024 in its entirety just for those developer chats, but there is also a trailer shown for each game.

Featured games

Thank Goodness You're Here!

(Coal Supper)

When combined, what do slapping and a platformer create? A slapformer, of course! Thank Goodness You're Here! is an absurd comedy slapformer set in a bizarre Northern English town. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features some behind-the-scenes segments to celebrate its release. Thank Goodness You're here! is available now for PC/Mac and PlayStation.

Arco

(Max Cahill, Franek Nowotniak, José Ramón García, Antonio Uribe)

Arco is a unique tactical action game where your decisions shape the story. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features some behind-the-scenes segments to celebrate its release. Arco is available now for PC and Nintendo Switch.

Despelote

(Julián Cordero, Sebastián Valbuena)

Head to the streets of Quito, Ecuador in August of 2001 in the slice-of-life adventure game Despelote. Shown through the eyes of an eight-year-old, play with your soccer ball around town as Ecuador gets closer than ever to qualifying for the World Cup. It is a bittersweet and sometimes dreamy semi-autobiographical tale in a world filled with characters in which you have funny, genuine conversations. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features a behind-the-scenes chat with the developer. Originally expected to launch earlier this year, Despelote will now be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in early 2025.

Herdling

(Okomotive)

First shown off at gamescom Opening Night Live, Herdling sends you off on an alpine expedition with a herd of loveable beasts. Head up the mountain path filled with eerie dangers and surprising obstacles, all while trying to get to the mystery at the summit. You will guide and protect a herd of Calicorns while traversing mountainscapes, forests, snowy plateaus, and forgotten valleys. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features some behind-the-scenes chats with the developers. Herdling will be released for PC and consoles in 2025.

Time Flies

(Playables)

Time Flies is a little adventure about the little time we have in this world. In the game, you are a fly with a short life and a long bucket list. What happens is up to you, but make the best of what time you have left. Remember, we're all going to die. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features a behind-the-scenes chat with the developers. Time Flies will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch in early 2025. A trailer can be seen in the full showcase.

Nour: Play With Your Food

(TJ Hughes)

Experimental food art game Nour: Play With Your Food doesn't have scores, time limits, or table manners. Play with your food in surreal scenes that range from chill to unhinged, like a symphony of toasters and a bathtub filled with ice cream. Panic Games Showcase 2024 features a behind-the-scenes chat with the developer. Nour: Play With Your Food will be released for Nintendo Switch on August 29. It is available now for PC and PlayStation. The price on all platforms has been permanently lowered for all platforms.

Big Walk

(House House)

Take a short look at one of the environments from Big Walk. Developed by the same studio that brought the world Untitled Goose Game, Big Walk is a cooperative online walker-talker that looks absolutely nothing like its breakout hit. Big Walk will be released in 2025. A trailer can be seen in the full showcase.
