Loulan was announced by Chinese developer ChillyRoom last week, as part of Sony's ongoing China Hero Project incubation programme. However, despite the reveal, we still haven't seen a second of gameplay footage – and don't really know much about the game at all. Presumably, for Mandarin speakers, this ChinaJoy 2024 panel captured by Gematsu is illuminating; for the rest of us, there's only a couple of pieces of artwork to ogle.
We want to say some of these images look classic God of War-esque, but the reality is we're probably looking at another Soulslike here. Either way, Sony has identified the project as one it wants to support, so hopefully we learn more soon.
