PlayStation's 30th Anniversary celebrations are kicking up a notch as it has revealed a special, limited edition range of consoles and controllers leaning into the original console's aesthetics.

Unsurprisingly called the 30th Anniversary Collection, the range features a PlayStation 5 Pro, slimline PlayStation 5, DualSense, DualSense Edge, and even a PlayStation Portal all picked out in classic gray hue and special commemorative markings. This includes original-design PlayStation logos, face buttons in their original colors, and 30th Anniversary branding — and there's a few bonus trinkets available too.

Despite only just being announced, it's the Pro that leads the line here. Only 12,300 items will be available worldwide for this unit — referencing the original console's launch date of December 3 — and you can pre-order it from the same September 26 date as the main model.

However there's a lot more packed in here. The 30th Anniversary model comes bundled with a matching DualSense controller, as well as a DualSense Edge wireless controller, and the official DualSense Charging Station. Unlike the standard Pro, it also includes a Vertical Stand, and while there's no disc drive you will also receive a matching disc drive cover should you upgrade — to keep the look.

Additionally there's a set of special collector's items. We can take or leave the four PlayStation "Shapes" cable ties, PlayStation sticker, PlayStation paperclip (which is… certainly out there as far as memorabilia is concerned) and the limited edition PlayStation Poster — of which there are 30 possible designs. It's the USB-C charging cable with the original controller housing design that does it for us. Though we won't mention the fact it'll obscure the other USB-C socket on the PS5's front…

While pricing hasn't been confirmed yet, it's likely to be a pretty expensive bundle — the standard Pro console and DualSense Edge are $900 combined — so if you can't stretch that far there's also a slimline PlayStation 5 available.

Coming as the Digital Edition, this too features a matching DualSense controller (but not an Edge), disc drive cover, vertical stand, and identical collector's item set. There's no indication of numbers of these available at present, nor pricing — though we don't imagine it to be much more than a standard digital console.

The final console available is the PlayStation Portal remote play device. This is a standalone item, without any additional accessories or collectibles, and will likely be very similar in price to the standard $200 device.

You'll also be able to pick up the two different types of controller — the DualSense and the DualSense Edge — as standalone items. That means you won't be able to pick up that excellent charging cable with these pieces, though the Edge does come with a special design of its standard case.

Pre-orders for all but the standard PS5 — which will follow on two weeks later — open on September 26 at participating retailers and PlayStation Direct. Delivery dates are not yet available.
