If you want to claim free PlayStation Store credit for playing one of the best video games of all time, then you're in the right place.

When it comes to the Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar Games, it doesn't get much bigger in the video game industry. Each new release of the ever-popular series is always a massive event and it looks like the upcoming GTA VI will be no exception.

Last month, Sony announced an "oversized" 17 free games that are coming to PlayStation Plus as part of the latest Days of Play celebrations. Days of Play is a yearly Sony event which not only brings PS Plus goodies but also discounts via the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Direct as well as third-party retailers who sell official Sony merchandise, games and accessories.

What's more, following the launch of Sony's PlayStation Stars rewards scheme in 2022, Days of Play also brings easy campaigns to complete which gifts you with reward points that can be spent on free PS Store credit, video games and digital collectables.

One of the recently announced games arriving on PlayStation Plus is the remaster of the 2004 classic, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas which arrives on 7 June 2024. So when that day comes, not only do PS Plus subscribers get to play an all-time classic at no extra cost, but if you're a member of the free PS Stars, you can earn 50 reward points.

All you have to do to claim the 50 reward points is earn the 'Getting Started' trophy which is obtainable with the second story mission in GTA: San Andreas. As long as you play the game, this trophy is practically impossible to miss very early on.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition is part of a remastered collection that also includes GTA III and GTA: Vice City. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is out now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
