For what it's worth, we actually got in touch with the company's PR team months ago, asking whether PS5 Pro support for Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3 was being considered. At the time, a representative told us that the team simply had "no announcements on the topic" — and so we've been waiting on some kind of clarification.
Obviously, CD Projekt Red is incredibly busy right now. It's got teams working on both the next Witcher title and Cyberpunk 2077's sequel; you can't exactly blame the developer for passing up on the process of building, testing, releasing, and potentially supporting an update for a very specific console refresh.
Still, it is a shame. While Cyberpunk 2077 runs really well and looks fantastic on PS5 these days, a Pro patch could have merged the game's fidelity and performance modes — or perhaps it could have implemented some ray tracing tech.
We suppose there's an outside chance that CDPR will put something together in the future — developers will never say never. But as of right now, we'd advise against getting your hopes up.
By the way, we've played 2077 on PS5 Pro and it does benefit from the hardware's additional heft, holding a steadier frame rate in busy parts of the map.
