Date A Live: Ren Dystopia begins thirty years after the spacequakes started. Spacequakes are calamities triggered by enigmatic Spirits. One fateful day, ordinary student Shido Itsuka meets a Spirit disillusioned with humanity. IShido's sister reveals that he has the unique ability to seal Spirits' power. The method is unexpected: he has to date the Spirit and make her fall in love with him. This is an unconventional approach to sealing powers, to say the least. But at least Shido approaches the situation with complete sincerity.
The world becomes peaceful after Shiro seals one Spirit's powers after protecting her from an enemy. Another Spirit causes a transformation and inversion, and Shiro somehow manages to protect the world by reshaping it and sealing Origami's power. One night, he dreams of a mysterious voice calling out from the darkness. The next morning, he finds an odd container with a snake pattern under his pillow. He asks around about it… but when someone tries to open the box… who knows where the story might go! Make the correct choices and Shido can grant a Spirit's wishes, or make one wrong choice and it's game over.
