A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges is becoming available on player consoles as the local time passes midnight on Thursday, with some pretty high-value events and potential rewards available.

GT7's Weekly Challenges consist of a set of five events — mostly drawn from existing World Circuits events but with a regular spot for one-off challenges now — that you're tasked with completing over the seven-day window. Doing so earns you not only the rewards of the races but some bonuses for completing one, three, or all five events too.

This week's Special Event is a one-make race for the one-seat road car: the BAC Mono. You can grab the car in any state of tune for this five-lap blast around Dragon Trail Seaside, with a 65,000cr reward for finishing in first place.

There's a couple of lower-value races this week, starting with the European Sunday Cup 400 at the Kyoto Driving Park Yamagiwa course. For this you'll just need a road car from Europe, and there's no limit on how hard you tune it for the two-lap race. The win scores you just 25,000cr.

For just a little more — 30,000cr — there's the Lightweight K Cup race around the Streets of Willow Springs circuit. It's a five-lap run on this twisty desert circuit, requiring Kei Cars on Comfort Soft tires. You'll also need to adhere to a 400PP limit, and given that the tires will affect your Performance Points you'll need make sure your car is tuned wisely.

Unusually there's also two six-figure events this week. You'll be heading to Eiger Nordwand again — it is, after all, the most recently added track — for a repeat showing in the World Rally Challenge Gr.B event which appeared in the Weeklies back in the first week of August. The race requires any of the Gr.B cars equipped with Racing tires of any kind, and the 12 laps will award you 135,000cr for victory.

This week's highest-paying challenge may need unlocking if you haven't already done so. It's a ten-lap race around Red Bull Ring in the Neo-Classic Competition, and the car restrictions are a little complex. You can use any vehicle of any kind with a production year between 1980 and 1999 inclusive, and tuned to no higher than 800PP while equipped with any type of Racing tires. The first-place prize though is 154,000cr.

There's a little variation to the rewards this week. Completing one and three events awards you a 100,000cr ticket and a 200,000cr ticket respectively; remember that you'll need to redeem these from your Gifts section in order to collect the credits. Finish the set and you'll earn a Six-Star Roulette ticket, which may award 500,000cr, a high-value car, or — very rarely — a cool million credits.

You'll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we'd expect the next set on the morning of Friday September 27.
