GT7's Weekly Challenges are a set of five events selected each week, mostly from within the existing World Circuits events but quite often now including a Special Event created just for the week. Completing them in the seven-day window earns you bonus rewards, usually in the form of credits.
This week's lowest-paying event is the Pickup Truck Race challenge at the Big Willow course at Willow Springs. It's a three-lap race requiring the use of either of the two pickups currently in the game — the F150 Raptor and Tundra TRD — with a 30,000cr reward. There's no limits to tuning, so if you have an already engine-swapped truck, why not go nuts?
Two races each worth 60,000cr for victory follow that up, though if you haven't already done so you will need to unlock one of them — the Historic Sports Car Masters — in order to have access to it.
That's actually got a pretty complex set of regulations involved. You'll need a road car, from between 1960 and 1989, and whether tuned or standard it needs to come in at under 580PP; beware that the 1.49 update changed a lot of Performance Point ratings, so a car that's eligible in your garage may not be once its PP rating refreshes when you get into it. The race itself is just one lap around the Nordschleife.
In contrast, any road car from a European manufacturer is eligible for the European Clubman Cup 600 race at Suzuka. This three-lapper nets you the same amount of money for the win.
This week's Special Event is more alpine than a Toblerone, consisting of a seven-lap race at the reverse-layout Eiger Nordwand course in an Alpine A110 '17. Again, any state of tune is permissible, so if you feel like smurfing it for the 85,000cr winner's pot then it could be a decent money-spinner.
Lastly there's a World Touring Car 800 race at the GP layout of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Chances are you'll know what to expect from these regular entries in the Weeklies by now, as it's a ten-lap race against Gr.3 opposition though an 800PP cap allows you to go a bit harder if you wish. There's no rain on this event, but the tire wear is relatively high so keep an eye on that if you want the 154,000cr first-place prize.
While there's credit rewards for the first two stages — redeemable 100,000cr and 200,000cr tickets for completing one and three respectively — nailing the clean sweep brings an element of chance back into it with a Six-Star Roulette ticket. These usually award 500,000cr, but there's a chance of twice that or a car reward instead.
You'll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Thursday evenings/Friday mornings, so we'd expect the next set on the morning of Friday September 6.
