The Gran Turismo 7 Daily Races have cycled to a new set for the new week, with three more races running every 20-30 minutes across the next seven days.

This week's circuit selection features two tracks that currently host 24-hour races and one that used to in a previous guise, giving a general endurance-racing vibe to the events. That's enhanced somewhat by the surprising length of one of those races.

It's the usual mix of events this week, starting with a one-make challenge for road cars in Race A — although it's not exactly a road car in the truest sense of the phrase. You'll need to grab the Mazda Roadster Touring Car for this event, with street-legal Sports Hard tires fitted.

The race itself is three-lap rush around the Daytona Road Course, and it's as simple as it gets with no other regulations to get in the way of the race. There's not even a grid start this week — thankfully, given how tricky that can be on a banked corner in GT…

Race B meanwhile is another sprint, with Gr.4 cars the stars of the show. You can grab any car from the category that you want for this five-lap race around the Interlagos circuit, which used to host a 24-hour race back in the 1960s.

There's no clear favorite car at the moment. You'll want something nimble enough to deal with the rapid direction changes of the middle sector, and with enough torque to cope with two significant climbs, but whatever your choice it requires Racing Hard tires.

Finally we have a bit of a monster race, from the Fuji International Speedway circuit. It's an event for the Gr.3 cars, so again your choice is a free selection from the entire range of this category of car but you'll definitely want something that can keep up down the enormous straight.

It is, and we hope you're sitting down, a 24-lap race — which seems like a lot considering that the race has an estimated time allocation of just 25 minutes. Compounding that is the fact that there's also dynamic weather enabled for this race. Hopefully not fog…

This means that you might encounter some showers (or more) during the race, but then again it's also not a guarantee. Nonetheless, make sure you have some Intermediate and Wet tires available for the race — and make sure you know how to use them.

You'll need to keep an eye on the weather radar and the surface water indicator on the left of the HUD. The first marker is the crossover point for slicks/Intermediates, and the second for Intermediates/Wet. If the radar is showing pale blue, you're unlikely to need to swap from your dry tires if you're careful but do keep an eye out for darker blue patches which will certainly add enough water to make life difficult.

There's a mandatory pit stop in this race too, but it's pretty much an irrelevance. With a 4x tire wear multiplier, you're going to need to pit whether it rains or not. Fuel may also be tight unless it rains and you can save a bit with the short-shifting needed to keep control.

In order to access the Daily Races, you'll need to unlock Sport Mode, by completing Menu Book 9 ("Championship: Tokyo Highway Parade") in the GT Cafe single player hub. A PlayStation Plus subscription is required to take part.

With GT7's Daily Races updating every Monday across the game's life to date, the next new set should arrive on Monday, June 10.
