The latest Forza Motorsport update, released on November 4, 2024, has added a 'Next-Gen NASCAR' feature to the game. This update invites players to step behind the wheel of 2024 Next Gen NASCAR stock cars in the new American Thunder Tour and NASCAR Series in Featured Multiplayer.
The update includes the addition of three new NASCAR vehicles to the Showroom - the 2024 Chevrolet NASCAR Next Gen Camaro ZL1, 2024 Ford NASCAR Next Gen Mustang Dark Horse, and 2024 Toyota NASCAR Next Gen Camry XSE. These cars will be available as Spotlight cars during the first week of the American Thunder event.
To support the new NASCAR content, the update has made several gameplay adjustments, including:
- Tuning the Drivatar AI on ovals to have cleaner race starts, smoother transitions, and more effective trailing
- Improving the car-to-car collision response for more realistic energy dissipation
- Reducing the downforce impact on leading cars when drafting to make it easier to maintain position
- Adding support for rolling starts in the new NASCAR Series in Featured Multiplayer
The update also refreshes the Homestead-Miami Speedway track layouts with new NASCAR branding, and introduces a new Forza Race Regulations model with improvements to penalty assignments.
In addition to the NASCAR content, Update 14 includes several other new features and improvements, such as enhanced car audio for select vehicles and various bug fixes.
