Established development house Untold Games today proudly debuts a new showcase video for its upcoming post-apocalyptic survival sandbox title, City 20, in which Narrative Designer, Nicholas Di Valerio, demonstrates the games highly-reactive and procedural Social Tension system.

Built upon a complex interplay of mathematical models, Social Tension is a core system at the heart of City 20, that closely monitors player interactions, ensuring that every action taken has its consequences. This results in a dynamic and emergent narrative that is unique to each playthrough. The interactions showcased in the new video are representative of the content that will be available at Early Access launch later this year.

To coincide with the new trailer, the City 20 demo has been refreshed and updated, and is once again available to download via Steam - and for the first time, the Epic Games Store.

Previously only available during Steam Next Fest, the demo now features a selection of improvements, tweaks and features based on community and player feedback. This includes the implementation of the Social Tension system, a working water system, and an overhauled lighting system that transforms the look of the game. A full list of updates to the demo can be found below.
