Enotria: The Last Song is out this week on PC and PS5 ahead of its planned Xbox release further down the line, which means we're starting to see some early impressions of the Italian folklore-inspired soulslike hit the web.

With this game getting controversially cancelled for Xbox before the dev team worked with Phil Spencer and co. to get the Series X|S version back on track, we thought you might be interested in how it's landing so far with players.

Here are a few of the early reviews for Enotria: The Last Song:

Dualshockers (8/10)

"Enotria: The Last Song is a Souls-like experience that takes a lot of big swings, and while there are a few hiccups along the way, a lot of these risks pay off. The freedom to experiment with builds, plan ahead with pre-set Loadouts, and take on the roles of your fallen enemies are all standout features that set this title apart. Which Enotria backs up with impressive visuals, a compelling Italian folklore-inspired world, and several memorable bosses."

IGN (7/10)

"Enotria: The Last Song has fun combat and its sun-drenched environments are a breath of fresh air in the genre, even when the unapproachability of its RPG systems prevent it from taking center stage."

Game Rant (3.5/5)

"There is a lot of beauty in Enotria: The Last Song and Jyamma Games deserves to be commended for its efforts to stand out in a saturated market. With immersive connections to Italian folklore and an adoring love of subgenre, Soulslike fans will certainly enjoy the world of challenge. But while the combat is innovative it could use some polish."

For now, we don't have a set release date for the Xbox version of Enotria, but the studio is officially working with Microsoft and hopes to share an update on the Series X and S version as soon as possible. The game currently has a score of 74 on Metacritic, so fans of the genre should find enough to enjoy with this one when it does come to Xbox.
