I'm back with a new port! Practically everything seems to work. Consider using either 708x400 or 800x450 resolution (or higher if GL).

Performance (approx at 1785Mhz):
Tutorial: 17-50fps, often just playable.
Grand Prix races: 20-55fps. Very map dependent.
Bonus/special stages: 25-55 fps.
Solo races: 35-60 fps. Most tracks in 50s
Please OC the CPU to the max while playing and consider turning down graphics (render distance, skybox).
Legacy GL is not very stable, especially with multiple racers. Consider using software only. The PC version apparently has a memory leak, but here it is very problematic.

Thanks to heyjoeway and carstene1ns for their work on SRB2/kart, which was referenced for this port. (In particular online and addons, I wouldn't have found heyjoeway's workaround/fix)

Changelog:
r2: Fixed Addons and the game now pauses when you press the home button. (like most games, not when online or in record attack)
