The Don't Nod staff in Paris have organized a strike scheduled for November 8, 2024, in response to the company's redundancy plan announced last month. The strike, supported by the STJV union, will take place near the studio's headquarters starting at 2 PM local time.

Key details about the strike and workers' demands include:

1. Abandonment of the redundancy plan: Don't Nod announced that up to 69 workers could be made redundant as part of a reorganization plan.

2. Employee voice in decision-making: Workers are demanding a greater say in the company's direction.

3. CEO presence in negotiations: Employees want Don't Nod CEO Oskar Guilbert to be present during negotiations.

The workers have also published an open letter outlining their grievances:

- They attribute the company's failures to "negligent acts and bad decisions from leadership."
- The letter describes the company's strategy as based on "delusions of grandeur" and "short-term thinking."
- Employees claim they have warned leadership about these issues for years without being heard.
- The redundancy plan is seen as workers paying the price for management's "absurd decisions."

The staff emphasizes their desire to save the company but not at the cost of unjustified redundancies or a deteriorated working environment. This strike comes in the context of Don't Nod's difficult financial year, with poor commercial performance of recent releases leading to a "deterioration" in its half-year financial results.
