Erin Fusco, an artist and game producer for Blizzard's Diablo 4, has sadly passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer. A professional artist since 2008, the game producer spent almost five years working on Blizzard's latest RPG.

Over their time at Blizzard, Erin Fusco worked on Diablo 4, overseeing concept art, maintaining art teams and working on merchandise design. Without Fusco's work, the brilliant game would not look the way it does today.

Fusco's husband Adam announced that the talented artist had sadly passed on Friday, November 8, 2024. Family, friends and fans were urged to donate to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to fund the future of pancreatic cancer research and assist others suffering from the disease. Fans can donate here.

While Fusco was continuing treatment, the artist suffered a septic infection which sent them into the ICU. Unfortunately, she did not survive the infection.

"Erin Fusco passed on from this world while surrounded by her loving friends and family at UCI Douglas Hospital," her husband wrote. "Thank you all for making Erin's journey that much brighter with all your loving support."

The Diablo developer's passing was also tributed by numerous friends and co-workers across social media. Ash S. Vickey, an ex-Blizzard employee, posted a touching tribute to the artist on Twitter.

"I lost a dear friend of mine on Friday to pancreatic cancer. Erin was such a vital part of the Diablo IV community. They played a key role in producing the Concepts team, which, as you can imagine, is one of the most dynamic and involved areas in that game. Erin's passion for art went beyond just production," Vickey said. "They were also involved in creating many of our beloved Diablo IV plushies—Wolphisto really stands out in my mind! They consistently drew myself and other members of our Diablo IV team in silly and positive lights."

"I met Erin when we were looking for someone who could make artwork for our wedding," said ex-Blizzard developer Orlando Salvatore. "Every night, I pass by what she made for us. Each time I saw Erin at Disneyland or Blizzard, she was so positive. I'd brag about her accomplishments to my friends, she was a rockstar. F*** cancer."

Erin Fusco is survived by their husband Adam and their son Brick.
