Speaking to paywalled Japanese publication Nikkei (thanks, VGC), Nishino outlines the strengths of PlayStation and the alleged weaknesses of PC and mobile, explaining: "I think that with mobile devices, there are many games that show advertisements, and PCs are difficult to set up, but with PlayStation, once you turn it on, you can experience the content you bought straight away."
Despite that, in this modern age, PlayStation must compete for the hearts and minds of increasingly distracted gamers and meet new audiences wherever they congregate: "We are trying to increase our share of the overall game market by developing content for PCs as well. There is no doubt that consoles will be at the core of our business, but by offering titles for platforms other than consoles, we will reach a wider range of customers."
Are you a recent convert to PlayStation, having seen the light after picking up Ghost of Tsushima on PC, perhaps? If yes, how difficult was the desktop set up? Explain yourself in the comments section below.
