Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land follows Yumia Liessfeldt and her companions through a world where alchemy is believed to be evil. They are seeking the truth behind the fall of the Aladissian Empire and the memories of its lost history; it was an era that thrived thanks to alchemy. Journey across a ruined continent so Yumia can unravel the mysteries of the cataclysm that destroyed the Empire.
The game's entire theme revolves around memory. Yumia is a young alchemist whose mother died in an accident when Yumia was a child. Her mother hid her identity as an alchemist, so while Yumia is uncovering the forbidden art of alchemy she will also be seeking her mother's true intentions. While travelling, Yumia will join the Aladiss Research Team where she meets brother and sister Vikto von Duerer and Isla von Duerer. The Team is joined by other colorful characters, including a mysterious woman, a timid demi-human, and a former adventurer with spectacular experiences.
