Assassin's Creed Shadows has made its gameplay debut at the Xbox Games Showcase and it shows Yasuke and Naoe in action, and in stealth.

For the first time, we get to see the gameplay in action and it really shone. With Naoe showing off her creeping skills before wielding the wristblade, and Yasuke kicking down some doors before bashing in skulls.

Time for some gameplay action from Assassin's Creed Shadows

There was not only lots of grappling and storming about, but we also got a little more background to Naoe's character as she's seen putting on the wristblade for the first time.

The switching between characters shows the two playstyles wonderfully and we're sure to see more at the Ubisoft Forward event in the coming days.

Of course, we've all wanted to see this since the recent reveal and it's great to really get a chance to see exactly how each protagonist will play.

Yasuke was an all out brawler, smashing into enemies with his club and his brute strength. This is before seeing him take the knee with his elders.

We also got to see Naoe swing into a stealth position using her grapple. Sticking to the shadows, she crept up on several enemies before sinking in her blade and bringing them down.

Interestingly, the trailer opened with her voiceover and we got more of an idea of where her history lies. Hopefully, we'll see more of this with Yasuke very soon.

This was very much a combat trailer - we didn't get to see anything of crowds or the side details we got from the previous trailer. It was very much a celebration of what makes this a new and stand out Assassin's Creed game while sticking to what we've all come to know over the many years of the franchise. There's going to be something for everyone in these two amazing central characters.
