The Sega Dreamcast's online servers shut down years ago, but dedicated fans have brought them back for certain games. This lets players with the right setup get their beloved console connected again.

A new title just joined the list - the Japan-exclusive sports game Golf Shiyouyo 2, made by Softmax in 2001.

Players can now enjoy the game's online mode once more. Plus, it's been translated to help non-Japanese speakers play. You can get the updated version here.

Dreamcast Live shares this update:

Golf game fans will enjoy this new online addition. It's a solid golf game with many courses, modes, lots of customization, and online play for up to 4 people. Game types include the usual stroke and match play, plus a fun "Club Seal" mode where you take clubs from other players to make their round harder.
The online play works great from what we've tried. And no, it doesn't work with the broadband adapter, if you're wondering. But as you'd expect for a turn-based game, it runs smoothly on a dial-up connection.
