Since Silent Hill: The Short Message released at the end of January, there hasn't been much Silent Hill news since then outside of a combat trailer for the Silent Hill 2 Remake, given the huge amount of franchise-related titles that were announced back in October, with quite a considerable...
The first Frostpunk tasked players with doing whatever it takes to survive the apocalypse, but the second game asks an even bigger question: what's next after the end of the world? It's both a philosophical and literal question in Frostpunk 2. The first game had a certain finality when anything...
When game director Hidetaka Miyazaki tried to explain his then-new game Demon's Souls to the masses, he chose another game as its reference point: the classic, Dungeons & Dragons-inspired role-playing game Wizardry. FromSoftware wanted to "make the fun and charms of a classic RPG interesting...
Limited-edition consoles themed after a particular game or series are pretty commonplace these days, and they are a savvy way of getting consumers to buy multiple versions of the same system. While this has become a more regular practice in modern times, it was happening as early as the '90s –...
When Apple released its iPod MP3 player, it was quick to find other uses for that LCD display, one of which was games. The company even went as far as to develop its own version of Tetris, named Stacker, which was intended to be released alongside the 3rd-generation iPod in 2003. However, that...

It’s a genuinely all-day headset that works with all my devices, is easy to manage and tune to what I like watching, listening, and playing, and it’s the most comfortable and versatile way of giving myself tinnitus that I’ve come across yet.

Devil Blade Reboot is a legitimate shmup masterpiece and one of the best examples of the genre we've experienced in quite some time – and it runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck. Make sure you pick it up.

V Rising is a diverse, captivating and all-encompassing well-made vampire simulation. Every aspect of the game oozes with quality and style, so much so that I think it's even made the age-old trope of the blood-sucker even trendier.

Why? You have asked for it, so here it is... USB Partition The Wii U only allows you to format whole USB storage devices to use them for expanding the storage to store Wii U games. This stroopwafel plugin changes this. It lets you use a partition on your USB storage device for storing Wii U...

Why? Even though the Wii U has a built in SD slot, it doesn't support using it as a storage expansion to store Wii U games (unlike it's predecessor). USB pen drives are notoriously unreliable and hard drives are bulky and require extra power or a Y cable, using up multiple ports. Today big...

Credits go to JustMLC for creating this mod! Before starting the tutorial, it's important to know that you need a jailbroken Wii U (it may also work on emulator, but I haven't tested) with either Aroma or Tiramisu. If you want to also/only get the OG switch GamePad/TV button and/or OG system...

Fanmade games are always a delight to see, be it original or altogether recreated games made from scratch, and this case, a beloved arcade and SNES classic got such treatment. The original "Final Fight" is a "beat 'em up" game originally released for the arcades back in 1989 with the option to play with two players, and then later ported over to other consoles, such as the SNES, Sega CD and the GBA, with all three versions ranging from slight censored content like GBA port, to severe cut content like the SNES port, which had the playable character Guy, the Industrial area and the two player co-op gameplay removed, and to top it off, censored content as well. A development team going by the name "CFX", which consists of Edmo Caldas, Master Linkuei, Mauro Xavier and Oscar Celestini, have worked to put together an entirely new recreation of the original arcade game made from scratch, without any kind of pre-existing or reverse-engineered code, and managed to get the game working on the original SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive hardware, complete with all its 3 characters, 3 rounds/stages out of the 6 so far, and a survivor and attack modes implemented into the game. Those interested in trying out the WIP build of the homebrew port can find it on Itch.
After almost a year and a half in development and many beta versions, Aria of Sorrow Reprise v1.0 is now released! Reprise is a roguelike mod for Aria of Sorrow with a procedurally generated castle along with custom rooms, extensive new features, effects and re-balancing. Explore randomized areas, clear rooms, and then fight the boss to advance the game. Experiment with new equipment and soul abilities, with changes documented in-game with the '~' character. There are many more details in the readme, but it is easy to jump in and play! This mod is targeted to both beginners and experienced players with 4 difficulties, and does not require any previous map knowledge due to it's progression system and map generation. It's also very replayable, just use a different filename to generate a different castle. This has been a rewarding project that a lot of effort was put into - huge thanks to everyone who has played it and provided feedback to get to this point. Enjoy this latest release! Download Page
