There are plenty of forgotten gaming platforms out there, but the South American Zeebo console has to rank as one of the most obscure. Released in Brazil and Mexico in 2009, the system had 3G connectivity and was based on Qualcomm's BREW mobile gaming chipset. The aim was to avoid piracy by...
Hasbro's Transformers line of toys, comics, movies and cartoons has been thrilling fans for 40 years now, so it's amazing to us that in all that time, we've not had a decent one-on-one fighting game based on the cross-media franchise. Pixel artist and animator The Diepod – who has worked on the...

Final Fantasy VII needed a full remake. This just needed some touch-up paint.

The Anbernic RG28XX is a triumphant device which scrimps a little in places but delivers big in the ways you would want it to. For emulation up to DC, the RG28XX is more than capable and performed more than admirably after a little tinkering with cores.

If you like 2D action games, if you like ninja games, if you like time manipulation games, if you like neon-retro dystopian vaporwave noir drug-fueled crime stories, or if you’re just nostalgic for the age of VHS, then you have to give Katana Zero a try.

There's easily enough material here for a series of short documentaries, which would have perhaps made this slightly more digestible for casual viewers.

Why? Even though the Wii U has a built in SD slot, it doesn't support using it as a storage expansion to store Wii U games (unlike it's predecessor). USB pen drives are notoriously unreliable and hard drives are bulky and require extra power or a Y cable, using up multiple ports. Today big...

Credits go to JustMLC for creating this mod! Before starting the tutorial, it's important to know that you need a jailbroken Wii U (it may also work on emulator, but I haven't tested) with either Aroma or Tiramisu. If you want to also/only get the OG switch GamePad/TV button and/or OG system...

Fanmade games are always a delight to see, be it original or altogether recreated games made from scratch, and this case, a beloved arcade and SNES classic got such treatment. The original "Final Fight" is a "beat 'em up" game originally released for the arcades back in 1989 with the option to play with two players, and then later ported over to other consoles, such as the SNES, Sega CD and the GBA, with all three versions ranging from slight censored content like GBA port, to severe cut content like the SNES port, which had the playable character Guy, the Industrial area and the two player co-op gameplay removed, and to top it off, censored content as well. A development team going by the name "CFX", which consists of Edmo Caldas, Master Linkuei, Mauro Xavier and Oscar Celestini, have worked to put together an entirely new recreation of the original arcade game made from scratch, without any kind of pre-existing or reverse-engineered code, and managed to get the game working on the original SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive hardware, complete with all its 3 characters, 3 rounds/stages out of the 6 so far, and a survivor and attack modes implemented into the game. Those interested in trying out the WIP build of the homebrew port can find it on Itch.
After almost a year and a half in development and many beta versions, Aria of Sorrow Reprise v1.0 is now released! Reprise is a roguelike mod for Aria of Sorrow with a procedurally generated castle along with custom rooms, extensive new features, effects and re-balancing. Explore randomized areas, clear rooms, and then fight the boss to advance the game. Experiment with new equipment and soul abilities, with changes documented in-game with the '~' character. There are many more details in the readme, but it is easy to jump in and play! This mod is targeted to both beginners and experienced players with 4 difficulties, and does not require any previous map knowledge due to it's progression system and map generation. It's also very replayable, just use a different filename to generate a different castle. This has been a rewarding project that a lot of effort was put into - huge thanks to everyone who has played it and provided feedback to get to this point. Enjoy this latest release! Download Page
