Indika is a game quite unlike any other I've seen before and with every new trailer my interest grows deeper. At first glance it is a third-person adventure game with exploration, environmental puzzles, and platforming. Nothing super new about that but it's a good start. But wait, it's about a...
Do I remember anything from December 2016? Heck no! It's why I write things down! That month, Atlus teased its first full-scale fantasy RPG, Project ReFantasy. It slowly evolved into Metaphor: ReFantazio, which was officially unveiled during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023. This is a big game for...
The speedrunning community is beating records once again and this time it is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim which is getting the speedy treatment. With The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim having been out in the world for over 10 years, it is no surprise that fans are finding new and exciting things to do...
Assassin's Creed and Ghost of Tsushima share a lot of similarities from the gorgeous open worlds, a choice of stealth or all-out action combat, RPG mechanics and much more. However, what if we could blend the worlds of Assassin's Creed and Ghost of Tsushima, that would surely make for an...
We can't wait for the next Tomb Raider game to arrive but until we get a glimpse at the next project from developers Crystal Dynamics we can only imagine what might be, at least for now. In April 2022, Crystal Dynamics announced that it is working on a new Tomb Raider game and it will be...
An incredible expansion mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is available now, and it's completely free. It's a good thing these fan-made Elder Scrolls expansions keep coming, because God knows we've still got a long wait for The Elder Scrolls VI ahead of us. Fortunately, there are plenty of...
The Suikoden spiritual successor Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is now available and unfortunately it's got some performance issues on Switch. If you are wondering how the developer Rabbit & Bear Studios will respond to this going forward, the Japan patch notes could be a sign of what's to...
Putting aside the disruptions of Covid, 2024 feels like the strangest calendar for gaming releases I have ever experienced. We haven't even reached the end of April, and we've had three huge RPG GOTY contenders in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Dragon's Dogma 2. Add...

Knuckles is an absolute riot. Wade Whipple’s over-the-top antics give the stoic echidna a much-needed foil, and the result is a laugh-a-minute road movie that just happens to be a six-part miniseries.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is not the steaming cash grab that you might have assumed by seeing the publisher involved.

Lunar Lander Beyond is a solid recommendation for fans of the lander sim genre. It performs well on the Switch with no discernible frame rate issues and looks great.

So let's say that you've region changed your 3DS (example: JPN to USA) and you try to go in the eShop and/or Pokemon Bank on the USA version but then you get an error code that says 007-2001. This is because your serial number in Nintendo's servers are still in the other region (JPN). In order...

Fanmade games are always a delight to see, be it original or altogether recreated games made from scratch, and this case, a beloved arcade and SNES classic got such treatment. The original "Final Fight" is a "beat 'em up" game originally released for the arcades back in 1989 with the option to play with two players, and then later ported over to other consoles, such as the SNES, Sega CD and the GBA, with all three versions ranging from slight censored content like GBA port, to severe cut content like the SNES port, which had the playable character Guy, the Industrial area and the two player co-op gameplay removed, and to top it off, censored content as well. A development team going by the name "CFX", which consists of Edmo Caldas, Master Linkuei, Mauro Xavier and Oscar Celestini, have worked to put together an entirely new recreation of the original arcade game made from scratch, without any kind of pre-existing or reverse-engineered code, and managed to get the game working on the original SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive hardware, complete with all its 3 characters, 3 rounds/stages out of the 6 so far, and a survivor and attack modes implemented into the game. Those interested in trying out the WIP build of the homebrew port can find it on Itch.
After almost a year and a half in development and many beta versions, Aria of Sorrow Reprise v1.0 is now released! Reprise is a roguelike mod for Aria of Sorrow with a procedurally generated castle along with custom rooms, extensive new features, effects and re-balancing. Explore randomized areas, clear rooms, and then fight the boss to advance the game. Experiment with new equipment and soul abilities, with changes documented in-game with the '~' character. There are many more details in the readme, but it is easy to jump in and play! This mod is targeted to both beginners and experienced players with 4 difficulties, and does not require any previous map knowledge due to it's progression system and map generation. It's also very replayable, just use a different filename to generate a different castle. This has been a rewarding project that a lot of effort was put into - huge thanks to everyone who has played it and provided feedback to get to this point. Enjoy this latest release! Download Page
