I would describe Read Only Memories: Neurodiver as a cyberpunk psychic mystery visual novel with point-and-click adventure elements. Or is it the other way around? Either way, use the word psychic in any capacity describing a game and I'll instantly be interested. (Or the word cryptid, kind of...
Surprise! Hades 2 is finally here and playable. Supergiant's hack-and-slash, flirt-with-gods roguelike is a brief technical test away from its Steam early access debut. I've slashed my way through its opening area and first boss and now I need more. Even though it's clearly in an unfinished...
After two disappointing expansions in a row, World of Warcraft's 2022 Dragonflight expansion righted the ship with its back-to-basics approach and focus on evergreen features. The numbers, as they say, don't lie, and Blizzard has reported increased player retention and recovering subscription...
Apologies for the incorrect date in the header image – Nintendo AU never published one so this is UK time. As always, expect about 20 minutes of announcements and updates on indie games coming soon (or soon-ish) to Nintendo Switch. While all of these are confirmed for Nintendo's console, there...
Braid: Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch has been pushed back a few weeks to 14th May 2024, Thekla Inc. has confirmed. The enhanced rerelease of the classic indie puzzle platformer was originally due to launch on 29th April, so we don't have to wait much longer to get our hands on the...
The time has finally come, and after many, many years (if not decades) of Apple users having to side load emulator apps into their iOS devices through unofficial stores (like AltStore), emulators are finally a reality in the official Apple Store for iOS devices. The Delta emulator, the...
Despite its popularity and dedicated fanbase, it is time to admit that Grand Theft Auto IV is considered a bit on the ancient side by today's standard of video games. Released back in 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Grand Theft Auto IV told the story of Niko Bellic as he attempts to...

Sker Ritual would have been easier to get along with if it had its own identity.

The reason to keep coming back to Hades isn't just the thrills you'll get battling through hell, but the characters and stories you learn about along the way.

Rose & Camellia Collection gets away with a lot of its technical imperfections simply because of the strength of its concept and its solid presentation.

So let's say that you've region changed your 3DS (example: JPN to USA) and you try to go in the eShop and/or Pokemon Bank on the USA version but then you get an error code that says 007-2001. This is because your serial number in Nintendo's servers are still in the other region (JPN). In order...

I've seen this asked a lot over the years and since someone asked it today and I recently mapped out all the Settings saves, I decided to test my theory that the answer was there. It was. Use case: You are stuck at the system initialize screen with the 'connect joycons' animation but you don't...

Fanmade games are always a delight to see, be it original or altogether recreated games made from scratch, and this case, a beloved arcade and SNES classic got such treatment. The original "Final Fight" is a "beat 'em up" game originally released for the arcades back in 1989 with the option to play with two players, and then later ported over to other consoles, such as the SNES, Sega CD and the GBA, with all three versions ranging from slight censored content like GBA port, to severe cut content like the SNES port, which had the playable character Guy, the Industrial area and the two player co-op gameplay removed, and to top it off, censored content as well. A development team going by the name "CFX", which consists of Edmo Caldas, Master Linkuei, Mauro Xavier and Oscar Celestini, have worked to put together an entirely new recreation of the original arcade game made from scratch, without any kind of pre-existing or reverse-engineered code, and managed to get the game working on the original SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive hardware, complete with all its 3 characters, 3 rounds/stages out of the 6 so far, and a survivor and attack modes implemented into the game. Those interested in trying out the WIP build of the homebrew port can find it on Itch.
After almost a year and a half in development and many beta versions, Aria of Sorrow Reprise v1.0 is now released! Reprise is a roguelike mod for Aria of Sorrow with a procedurally generated castle along with custom rooms, extensive new features, effects and re-balancing. Explore randomized areas, clear rooms, and then fight the boss to advance the game. Experiment with new equipment and soul abilities, with changes documented in-game with the '~' character. There are many more details in the readme, but it is easy to jump in and play! This mod is targeted to both beginners and experienced players with 4 difficulties, and does not require any previous map knowledge due to it's progression system and map generation. It's also very replayable, just use a different filename to generate a different castle. This has been a rewarding project that a lot of effort was put into - huge thanks to everyone who has played it and provided feedback to get to this point. Enjoy this latest release! Download Page
