What is this?

This is a version of Paysus' Scout FP Animation Overhaul V3 that has been patched by yours truly to work with newguy111's Pistol Enhancement Pack. Paysus may end up simply updating the mod with this patch, at which point I will deprecate this mod.

What is included?

Paysus' full animation pack for scout, with my own take on animations for the slide, trigger, trigger finger and hammer, inspired by Kylul.

newguy111's Pistol Enhancement Pack is NOT included and has to be downloaded separately for the animations to work. I have a casual compatible version of this already made, but I am awaiting permission to post it at the moment. The non-compatible version will still work, but the lugermorph will not be textured right, and any casual compatible texture mods will not apply.

How do I use it?

1. Download the file
2. Open the file
3. Pick your .vpk:
   
   If you use a non-standard viewmodel_fov setting, pick 70+. You can also pick whether or not you want spent casing to eject.
4. Open tf2's folder by right clicking > manage > browse local files on TF2 on Steam
5. Go to the TF folder
6. Go to the Custom folder (make it if you do not have one)
7. Place the vpk you chose in step 3 here.
8. Repeat steps 1-7 for newguy111's Pistol Enhancement pack. Download enhance_pistol4.7z, go into enhance_pistols_sca and install the enhance_pistol_no_animation.vpk file.

If you want the animations to work in casual, you can either get them working inconsistently by joining any non-sv_pure 1 server before playing casual, or more consistently by using pilso's Modern Casual Preloader.



p.s. I don't personally use kylul's scout pack, domi's scout pack or paysus' engineer pack, but I might still end up patching them if I feel inspired enough or a large enough bounty is placed. I can't make any promises, though, as even with a bounty the original animators may not grant permission for me to post a patch.
