Hey guys!! This tutorial will guide you through the process of manually installing mods for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on the Nintendo Switch and PC, the game hasn't launched yet, but the process should be very simple and the same as the base version, it will stay here for you to know what to do as soon as the game launches ;).

Nintendo Switch


Requirements

  • A Nintendo Switch with custom firmware installed (e.g., Atmosphere);
  • A mod file in .pak format;
  • FTPd homebrew to access your Nintendo Switch.

Instructions


Accessing the Switch

  • Use FileZilla or any other FTP client program on your PC;
  • Connect to your Switch's FTP server;
  • In the FTP client, navigate to the following directory on your Nintendo Switch:
/atmosphere/contents/

Create Game Folder

  • Inside the "contents" directory, create a folder named "010069c01ab82000";
  • This folder corresponds to Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance's titleID.

Create Mod Directory

  • Within the newly created folder, create the following directory structure:
RomFS/Project/Content/Paks/~mods/
  • This structure will allow the game to recognize and load mods.

Transfer Mod File

  • Place your mod file .pak into the ~mods directory.

Run the Game

  • Launch Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance on your Switch.

PC Steam


Instructions


Locate Game Directory

  • Open the Steam client on your PC;
  • Navigate to your Library and find Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance in the list of installed games;
  • Right-click on the game title and hover "Manage";
  • Click on the "Browse Local Files" option;
  • This will open the game directory in File Explorer.

Navigate to Mod Directory

  • Within the game directory, navigate to the following path:
Project\Content\Paks\
  • Create the ~mods folder.

Transfer Mod File

  • Place your mod file .pak into the ~mods directory.

Run the Game

  • Close the game directory window.
  • Launch Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance through the Steam client.

Enjoy Your Mods

  • Once in-game, your installed mods should be active and ready!!!
